In 2006, whilst in remission from an illness, Gill Bruton came to France fueled with a passion to create a holistic yoga retreat. Accompanied by her husband, Roger, her daughter, Mel, and son-in-law, Andy, the two families stumbled upon this old farm quite by accident, but knew immediately they had found the perfect location to realise Gill's dream. A joiner by trade, Andy became the driving force behind the renovations, and with the rest of the family spent the next eighteen months carefully restoring and renovating the buildings into the unique, hand-crafted setting it is today.
Unfortunately, in 2011, Gill suffered a relapse and passed away. But inspired by her mum’s motivation, and with her own creative flair, Mel continued with the project, and has today created a hotel offering a truly bespoke experience, where people from all walks of life can come together for a time of mindfulness and well-being. Surrounded by the breathtaking natural backdrop of the Pyrenees, the tranquil setting creates an inspiring energy for teaching and healing.
